The President's Delivery Team launches radio series

Launched today, ‘Leh we make Salone grow’ is a half hour magazine style programme, which provides news and updates on the progress of The President’s Recovery Priorities​ activities. It complements the monthly newsletter and the website (www.presidentsrecoverypriorities.gov.sl) which also make information on the process and progress of the priority initiatives widely available.

In this programme - we hear about the national school feeding programme for GoSL/GoSL assisted schools and how the Ministry of Education is building classrooms to reduce overcrowding and improve learning for Sierra Leone's children. Solar fridges in health centres will reduce child mortality by improving the vaccine cold chain. The 'Leh we make Salone grow' production team visit a village in Kenema and find out how this initiative is benefiting parents there.

It's harvest month in Sierra Leone and by making improved seed rice and fertiliser available to Sierra Leone's farmers, we can expect a better harvest. We talk to farmers as they wait to bring in their crops.

Finally Pay No Bribe’s new approach to tackling corruption, harnesses technology to collect the first-hand experiences of members of the public. The Anti-Corruption Commissioner tells us all about it.
